Chambersburg Turtlehead Rugby Club

In 1823, William Webb Ellis picked up a soccer ball and ran with it at Rugby College in England, and thus is credited as originating the game of rugby.  In 1983, the Chambersburg Rugby Club started running with the ball and has been bringing the Cumberland Valley the game of rugby ever since.
